About the Course
What are the 200 Hour Teacher Training course requirements?
Prior to attending our training, we require students to have at least 6 months of consistent yoga practice or similar dedication to a physical practice (dance, fitness, structured movement training such as martial arts). Above all, what’s most important to us is we’d like to welcome students with an open mind who are ready to learn new things and committed to improving their personal practice on and off the yoga mat. There is no need to be able to do handstands or advanced postures in order to join a training.
Will I be able to teach yoga in my home country after graduating?
Successful completion of an All Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training means you will be certified to teach yoga professionally. Our course is accredited by Yoga Alliance, the worldwide standard.
What style of yoga will I learn in this 200 Hour Teacher Training? Will I be able to teach Vinyasa Flow?
This 200 hour course is based upon the Ashtanga Primary Series and the Vinyasa Flow styles of asana practice (eg. Rocket Yoga). While the traditional Ashtanga Primary Series provides a strong foundation, you will learn and be inspired by other yoga styles to help develop and sequence Vinyasa Flow classes. In these, the asana practice focuses on breath, dristi (gaze) and bandhas (inner energy locks).
By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently teach the Ashtanga Primary Series as well as create custom Vinyasa Flow sequences. To finely balance the Yang practice of Ashtanga, we will incorporate other styles, such as Yin Yoga, to provide students with a broader education and enhance their overall experience with yoga. Thai Yoga massage will also be introduced to teach safe and appropriate hands-on adjustments for different bodies.

About Travel
Do I need a Visa to enter Thailand?
Please check with your local Thai embassy for detailed information. Some passport holders are able to enter the country with a 30 day Tourist Visa Exemption or Visa On Arrival (VOA), possibly requiring proof of departure/onward travel arrangements.
My visa is valid for only 30 days, how can I extend it?
There is no fine for overstaying by one day. After that, it’s 500 THB (~15 USD) per day. The maximum overstay fine in Thailand is 20,000 THB (~ 550 USD). If you plan to stay longer than 30+ days, we recommend getting a 60day Tourist Visa in your home country before leaving. Consult your local Thai embassy for details.
How much money should I bring?
Things are relatively inexpensive in Thailand. You can budget between $15-40 USD/day for food and $15-25 USD/day for accommodation in Koh Phangan.
PLEASE NOTE: the closest ATMs are on Haad Rin Bay. Most restaurants and accommodations accept cash only. We recommend bringing enough cash to last you at least a week. You can go to Haad Rin on the weekend to exchange or withdraw money.
Can my partner/family join me if he/she is not attending the course?
Yes. There are plenty of bungalow rentals for couples on the bay. While you’re at the training, he/she can enjoy the activities in the area or take a short day trip to nearby parts of the island.
Can I come earlier or stay longer after the training?
Of course! We highly recommend for students to come a 2-3 days earlier to secure their accommodations. You’re welcome to come before and/or stay after the course ends to relax, go sightseeing, etc.
I’ve never been to Thailand, is it safe to travel there?
Thailand is, by and large, a very safe country. The local Thai people are friendly and peaceful. Tourism is a booming industry in Thailand, so you’ll find that most people speak English and are very helpful to travelers. Many typical problems that tourists tend to encounter are generally avoidable, such as drug or alcohol-related troubles, or road accidents from inexperienced drivers. Use common sense, look both ways (several times!) before crossing streets, and be discreet with cash and valuables (as you would anywhere).
What are health precautions I should take before coming?
Please check your local travel clinics regarding vaccinations, and use your own discretion. There are pharmacies on Haad Rin Bay selling common overthecounter medicines. For more information, visit Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
How do I reach the training center? What is the closest airport?
Read these detailed directions at the bottom of the page. If flying to our location, Samui Airport (USM) is where you’ll arrive.
