Portugal is ranked as the 3rd safest country in the world by the Global Peace Index. That means that Portugal is a safe place to visit—although, like in many destinations, there remains a risk of petty crime (like pickpocketing). In terms of Covid-19, we are following the guidelines from the Portuguese government to make sure our students are safe.
Generally, solo male and female travellers are going to be safe in Portugal. It's an amazingly fun place to travel around, but as long as you remember that in some parts it's not as liberal as you might like it to be and that weirdos exist everywhere in the world – you will be fine. It's all about travelling smart.
Portuguese cuisine is heavily based on meat and fish, so at a smashing majority of typical Portuguese restaurants the menu is comprised of non-vegan dishes. In most touristic places such as Ericeira though you'll find restaurants offering a vegan and vegetarian friendly option.
Budget accommodation is cheap and plentiful in most of the country's most appealing destinations and eating and drinking is also great value by the standards of Western Europe.
Visas are required by all for stays of up to 90 days, except for:
Please check the Portuguese Immigration website for more detailed information.
How much money you should bring depends on your spending habits. In general, most people can live basically in Portugal for under EUR 40/day . However, expect to spend more if you intend on doing some shopping, massages, and indulging in food and drinks.
Portugal is well connected with reliable Wi-Fi in most hotels, hostels and cafes. There's free wifi at our Olive3 centre in Ericeira.
Travel insurance from a trusted company that covers theft, loss and medical is highly advised. Make sure to check that your package also covers sport related injuries. If you are travelling on, many insurance providers offer longer backpacker packages at cheaper rates.
You will be practicing yoga six days a week, so make sure to bring enough comfortable options. But no need to over pack, there are laundry services where you can get your clothes washed.
It is advised to pack light, breathable clothing, but as we are in a coastal town it can get windy and chilly in the evening. So bring some warm clothes as well.
There are convenience stores and pharmacies that sell toiletries, sunscreen, insect repellent and over the counter medicines. But it is recommended to come prepared, especially if you have particular requirements.
Yes, friends, family and partners are welcome. There is plenty of accommodation in Ericeira suitable for couples and larger groups. On course days, friends and/or family can enjoy the activities and explore the area.
This training was amazing. From the start I felt like I belonged here. This course has taught me so much about myself, way beyond my yoga practice. The other students were incredibly nice and there is no word to describe David, Zoe and Victor. If you are wondering whether or not to enroll... just do it.
I enjoyed the YTT extremely. I haven't felt so free and happy for a long time. The teachers are incredibly motivating and inspiring and it feels so good to be able to dedicate yourself to yoga both physically and mentally and really focus on yourself. I wanted to do the course in Indonesia first and was a little disappointed that it wasn't possible, but I am now all the happier that everything turned out the way it did. I've met beautiful people, Ericeira is a small oasis and the time here made me rethink a lot. I feel grateful to be able to have experienced this and cannot wait to share the knowledge with others. Thank you for everything.
What an experience. Our teacher training was the first to take place in Europe – in a perfect town in Portugal. The shala, garden and social area provide a peaceful and warm, friendly atmosphere for the course. The three and a half week training was jam-packed with physical practices of asanas, meditations, philosophy and anatomy, not to mention incredible workshops, experimenting with rocket, acro and yin. I can't put into words how much the course has changed my life. The teachers and guides, David, Charlie, Victor and Zoe, have all had an incredible impact. Not just bringing joy to the day to day of learning – but tools, advice and support to each and every one of us. The course's qualification will be an amazing addition to your future – but to experience the course is to enjoy the NOW. And create the best memories. I am a stronger person. A happier person. With friends for life.
The experience with All Yoga was completely transformative. I was apprehensive at the beginning as I don't have an extensive yoga background, but the way the training is set out means that you learn so much without even noticing it happen. It is a very supportive environment, with plenty of opportunity to ask for extra help if needed. For me, the most special part of the course was the teachers. Charlie and David taught our course, and we could not ask for better. They are both incredibly sensitive and intuitive to the needs of every student. They have a wealth of knowledge that they are keen to share, and also share their personal experiences of the yoga world to make us all better teachers. They were both open, approachable and created a safe, sacred space in which we were able to truly be ourselves. The setting at Olive3 was beautiful and peaceful, like a little paradise. The experience has taught me so much and opened my mind even further. I am truly grateful for the experience.

Born from a Thai father and a French mother, David grew up with a cross-cultural understanding that combined the best from both East and West. He was able to manifest in himself a bridge between Asian spirituality with the rationality and freedom of thoughts from European philosophy.
Since childhood, David’s interest in the Orient has been reflected in his dedication to martial arts. His expressive power was balanced through early initiation to Zen meditation under Zen masters, and later into silent meditation of the Vipassana practice. He earned his black belts in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu by the age of 20, and began teaching these disciplines soon after as his teacher’s assistant.
The following step from martial arts to Yoga was very natural. He was introduced to Yoga at the age of 21 and immediately knew this practice would be the perfect complement to his Spiritual journey.
Trained by the late renowned Yoga teacher Larry Schultz, he soon gained recognition and become Larry’s partner for his entry into Asia.
David not only practice yoga for the healing aspect but also as a moving meditation reaching higher stage of Inner Silence and insight. His Vinyasa Rocket classes are dynamic and grounded in a natural flow, helping students to grow in their practice and building in them more confidence, strength, and mindfulness on and off the mat.
David is a very inspiring teacher and his personalized style based on his background is the perfect way to let go of tensions and go deeper into a practice that will bring joy, happiness, compassion and a deeper understanding of the True Self.

Having been interested in Eastern philosophy (especially Buddhism) from a very young age, during the PhD she committed to a daily meditation practice as a way of coping with the stress she was under. Similarly, having dabbled with yoga on and off since her teenage years, it was only during the PhD, and finding 2 amazing classes at her university gym, that she was finally hooked. While the stresses of the PhD took her into a very dark place in her life, Charlotte was also, at that time, discovering a passion for health and wellness, particularly nutrition, movement and self-development.
Realizing that her true calling was to help people be the healthiest version of themselves through yoga and other lifestyle changes, she finished the PhD and immediately undertook her first YTT with All Yoga in Bali, in 2017. She spent the following year-and-a-bit travelling the world teaching yoga, as well as receiving her certification to teach yoga in Spanish, and training in Yin Yoga and Chinese Meridians with Annie Au in Mexico. Having arrived back to Scotland in 2019, Charlotte now teaches yoga in Glasgow, and has also trained in Thai Yoga Massage.
She loves a good sweaty power flow, and brings plenty of fun and playfulness to her classes, emphasizing inclusivity and body-love. Especially teaching yin, she loves dropping little ‘love bombs’ on her students by encouraging self-love, compassion, and gratitude.

Victor has pursued his education in a variety of Yoga styles such as Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yoga Therapy and Yin yoga, completing a total of 1000hrs of Teacher Training in India. As well as his Indian education, he has studied with top class teachers in London, developing an understanding and creating a style that binds the best of both, the traditional ancient eastern lineage and the modern scientific western approach.
His Yoga classes are inclusive, explorative and with a focus on the mind/body connection, proper alignment and safe adjustments as a way of helping students to deepen their practice. He firmly believes that Yoga goes beyond the practice on the mat and naturally develops into a lifestyle and a path that includes the way we breathe, think and act. “My Yoga classes aim to increase vitality and promote and maintain health by targeting the improvement of overall strength, flexibility and posture as well as regaining and attaining self consciousness. A safe space to reunite with one self, explore and allow the body and mind to catch up with each other in a world that is always buzzing, fast moving and fast changing.”
